May the Force Be With You!

Tonight we celebrated Brennan's sixth birthday with a Star Wars party! These kiddos were quite the force during their Jedi training. They enjoyed light saber battles, a little dancing, pizza and cake, and a surprise balloon attack.

 A delicious Denise Lang cake!

A little coloring as everyone arrived.

The dads dropped bags full of  balloons off the balcony.

Thanks to everyone who came to celebrate today, or sent Brennan messages in any way! He has had a great day, and is still going strong.

Brennan is 6!

Today we are celebrating six years with this guy!

Six years ago today we welcomed you into our family, Brennan! Those six years have gone so fast! You are a smart, fun loving, caring young man. The biggest event this year has been you starting kindergarten. It's been a big deal for you to be gone all day everyday during the week. You love it though! You get right up, usually want to shower, have breakfast, get dressed, and are ready to go. You've only had one day that you really didn't want to leave us. Even when you've been sick twice you've still wanted to go to school. We walked you into your class the first three days, and after that you wanted to be dropped off in the car line. I love that you love learning, and your teacher Mrs. Ward, and your friends. Though you like going to school, you also love coming home. You usually have a plan of what you're going to play. You're favorite things right now are: Star Wars, Legos, trains, playing anything with Daddy, games, and your iPad. You have mastered riding your bike without training wheels and love to do that, or ride the gator, or play most anything outside. This year you: lost two teeth, played baseball on the Dodgers team, went to golf camp, went to the Smoky Mountains and a water park, went to the beach twice,  went to several football games, rode a school bus for a field trip to Earlyworks, and helped Daddy with the Christmas parade. You also helped Daddy finish a pretty cool fort and playhouse in our backyard. This year we had to say good bye to our sweet Wells, and welcomed a new golden retriever puppy named Emmie. It has taken you and Emmie a little while to become buddies, but she really loves to play with you. This has been a great year, and I can't wait to see what is in store for you as a six year old!

Ironically, on the warmest birthday you've ever had you got a new sled. Hopefully you will get to use it this year.
