Party Time

You have really partied this birthday up, Brennan! You took Paw Patrol cupcakes to Pens and Pages one day before Christmas break. Then we took a trip to North Carolina to ride the Polar Express as part of your 5th birthday celebration.

Since you had gone on a birthday trip, you had a very small Polar Express party a few days before Christmas. A couple of friends came to play.

Finally, we celebrated your actual birthday with presents in the morning and then cake, ice cream, and family tonight. Uncle Ryan was even here, from Japan, to visit and play for part of the day. You had picked out a blue velvet cake mix a month or so ago. You also wanted Mickey Mouse decorations. You aren't really that into him, but we went with it. I think you've had a great day! We couldn't be prouder of you Brennan, and are so excited to celebrate you!

Look who is 5!

You're 5 Brennan! One whole hand! How did that happen! You have grown up so much this year, and are starting to really be your own person. You like: Paw Patrol, Star Wars Rebels, trains still, tickling and attacking with Daddy, cooking waffles, restaurants, using any tech gadgets that we will allow, and being a great big brother. You and Rowe really enjoy each other most of the time. You have a game you've named "carts around the house" that you invite her to play daily. You push a grocery cart and another little toy around the house following each other. She grins the entire time! You really like to have someone to play with right now. You also want someone to go with you into empty rooms. If you can't get me to go, you ask Rowe or Wells. If you have to go downstairs by yourself, you yell down first,"Hello down there!" I'm not sure who you expect to answer. You are spending two mornings a week at Pens and Pages again this year. We also go to a bible study one morning a week. You are very into adding numbers, talking about words, and asking what every road sign says. I'm really excited that you are so excited about learning. This year you played t-ball on the Rug Rat Rebels team and soccer on the Stingers team. It's been a great year! Here are a few pictures from throughout your year, not in order unfortunately.
