A Vintage Picnic Party!

I had so much fun with Rowe's birthday party! What is more fitting for a southern little lady, born in late summer, than a vintage picnic in the backyard! Especially when you have a vintage nursery, and a vintage name.

The theme started with a well loved quilt from my paternal grandmother, and it's main colors of pink, red, and blue. Then I found feed sack tablecloths made by my maternal grandmother that coordinated perfectly. I used vintage quilts, tables, and serving pieces collected by Mom and I over the years. I added in festive red and pink balloons to match Rowe's fun personality, and bright zinnias for a girly touch.

The day couldn't have been better! The weather was pretty great for August, and Rowe was as happy as ever. No doubt from looking back at the pictures, she enjoyed her special day. A special thanks to Julie for the wonderful cakes, and my friend Alyson for the photography!
